We are Jen and Lynn, a mother/ daughter dynamic duo - we love working together and have our own areas of expertise. We both came to floristry as a second career - Lynn was a Primary School teacher for 30 years, and Jen an NHS Ops manager.
Our love for flowers and a yearning for a creative outlet led us to both retrain as florists, with Jen making the leap in 2018 and Lynn soon after in 2019. As proud Geordies, with a desire to share amazing floral design with the North East, Jones & Jones was born.
Jen has gained lots of experience in weddings and events, freelancing for some amazing floral designers and coming second in a British Floristry Association National floristry competition. Jen is also a floristry tutor, teaching the brightest new florists and guiding them through their professional qualifications on behalf of a North East College.
We work with our couples to ensure that the impact we have on the planet is minimal. We do not using single use plastic, and have committed to never using toxic floral foam.
We are creative in our construction methods, without compromising on style, look or feel.We source our flowers from a combination of wholesalers and local growers from Northumberland, working with the beauty of the seasons.
We encourage our couples to reuse pieces throughout the day, to not only reduce cost, but to reduce waste.
